Last January we got an eight week old black lab. We named him Jack and he grew into a giant monster. He got HUGE and was quickly at eye level with our kids and knocking them down out of puppy excitement. While he was never mean to them he was a little too rough and big for the kids liking. He also craved a lot of attention and our life's have gotten extremely busy and is about to get even more hectic. We were not able to walk him every night and give him the attention needed. He kept himself busy by destroying our yard and anything that had the misfortune of being left in the back yard or given to him out the the door by Chase! (Bibs, shirts, etc.) So a couple of weeks ago we found a new home for him. He seems to be happy there. He gets to live inside, go for car rides, and take trips to the river. Below is a pic of him in his new home with his favorite new toy duck. We are happy that he is getting the attention that he deserves.
So while we now have our backyard back (or what's left of our back yard!) my kids can still not play out there. We had a kid run his car into our back fence while going way to fast around the curb. So we are left with a huge hole in our fence and the city told me it would take 5-6 weeks to fix it!! It's just a flimsy fence make out of wire and mud, but it's going to take 5-6 weeks and cost the kid at least $10,000!! Crazy huh.

You must have been extremely bored to read my entire blog! Sorry to hear that you experience pregnancy depression too (but glad to know I'm not the only one either!) Thankfully, mine always ends at birth. . . is that the same for you too? When I read in the new Ensign the other day about postpartum depression it sounded very similar to what I experience before birth--just thought it was interesting that it described me exactly. Anyway, hopefully yours ends in a few weeks! (btw, good for you for being willing to bring 5 babies into the world--especially living in CA. . .are people accepting of that there?)
And good luck with your two Tessas! Mine is not on failure to thrive only because her doctor is small himself and has children with the same issues so he is quite laid back about it. I know someone else with a bigger child who is on the failure to thrive route. And whoa on your little Chase! (some of your pictures cracked me up!) That makes your hands very full! I'm lucky in that department because I have enough older kids to help keep an eye on her. Try to stay sane. But surely it isn't easy on very many days.
We had a dog too. . .the idea to have one was good, but the reality didn't work out. She tore up our yard and made it impossible for kiddies to play in the back yard. We finally got when she dug under the fence ate our neighbor's sprinklers. I'm sure she's much happier now--as is your dog probably.
Good luck with the last few weeks of pregnancy and the upcoming birth. It was nice to 'meet' you!
